About Everdon Village Hall
History
The Village Hall (originally a dwelling and a school owned by Eton College) was gifted to the Parish Council in April 1974. According to the transaction:
“The property shall be held upon trust for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Everdon in the county of Northampton without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.”
The Parish Council is the Custodian Trustee and the Hall is administered by the Everdon Village Hall Management Committee. It has been a registered charity (no. 1048340) since August 1995.
